Bonnet

What is a bonnet? The bonnet, also known as the "Scots bonnet," is worn as part of the Scottish Highland dress. It is distinguished between the Balmoral style and the Glengarry style.
The Glengarry style, known in German as "Schiffchen" due to its boat-like shape and relatively long neck ribbons, originated from the Scottish military. Over time, this headgear has become internationally recognised and is still worn in some organisations today. The Glengarry style was first introduced in 1794 by the Scottish Highland regiment Glengarry Fencibles to ensure recognition. The Balmoral bonnet is a type of beret with a tassel in the centre.
Another variant is the Feather Bonnet. This magnificent headgear is made from ostrich feathers and resembles a bearskin cap.
