maximo makes children’s eyes shine

For more than 100 years, the maximo brand has stood for the best quality "made in Germany" and many years of experience in the field of headwear for kids and teenagers. They inspire them with creative, fashionable designs and styles that have been designed with great attention to detail. The family business was founded in 1897 by Bruno Barthel in Chemnitz and initially specialised in the manufacture of gloves.

In 1991, the company was re-founded under the name maximo and has since become known and loved almost all over the world for its high-quality knitwear for babies and children. Since the 1990s, the company has continued to grow steadily and today relies on a great new innovation: it processes its knitwear using state-of-the-art, computer-controlled knitting machines to create trendy designs with highly effective computer programmes.

Genuine quality

All products combine the highest quality, a comfortable feel, modern, creative patterns and colours, high-quality materials and the best functionality. To ensure this quality, the products are still designed and manufactured in the company's own production facility in Chemnitz, Germany, using the latest technological means. The company focuses on fair treatment of all those involved, the best quality through German production, a good price-performance ratio and qualified, responsible specialists. maximo’s mission is to make kids happy with unique products and favourite accessories and to offer uncompromisingly good quality that not only protects, but is also comfortable to wear.

As children's health and enjoyment of life are maximo’s top priority, all products are free from harmful substances and certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100. For minis, babies and toddlers, all products are offered with the highest class 1 standard. maximo is not only known for warming headwear for the winter, but also offers a wide range of hats, beanies, caps and headscarves that have been specially developed for the summer and are characterised by excellent UV protection.
