Pique

What is piqué? Piqué is a double-woven fabric made of cotton or viscose with a waffle-like texture. The fabric is characterised by alternating high and low areas, creating a relief-like, quilted appearance. In manufacturing, this special structure is created through a double weave, with a thinner yarn used for the upper layer than for the lower layer. During weaving, the layers are interconnected by individual threads. Due to its breathable and lightweight properties, the material is very popular in the production of polo shirts or headwear.
