A glamorous history

The Bailey 1922 brand was founded in 1922 as the Bailey Hat Company by George S. Bailey in Los Angeles, California, and specialised in the production of particularly stylish and high-quality hats from the very beginning.

As fashion in the "Roaring Twenties" was primarily influenced by the inimitable looks of the actors of old Hollywood, who were considered true style icons at the time, Bailey’s classically modern hat models in 1922 picked up on this particular style.

In this way, George S. Bailey was in tune with the times and quickly became the most popular milliner among Hollywood stars and starlets. Many of his famous fans were not only enthusiastic devotees, but also acted as advertising faces for the stylish milliner.

As a result, the label not only conquered the entire Hollywood, but also found favour with the broad mass of Americans and quickly established itself as a true trendsetter brand.
