Columbia – now and then

The founders of the Columbia Sportswear Company emigrated from Germany to the USA in 1938. They moved to Portland, Oregon, where they founded the Columbia Hat Company, which is now in its third generation and operated by the founders` grandson Tim Boyle. Prior to Tim, his mother Gert Boyle, who was the company’s CEO for over 40 years, turned the former hat factory into a global company specialising in the manufacture of clothing, footwear, headwear and accessories. Depending on the requirements and the type of use, all these items provide warmth and cooling and help protect while also keeping the body and head pleasantly dry.

Variety for your head, hands and neck

Columbia’s range of products features a wide array of different headgear and accessories which we offer to you in our shop with a high-quality selection. We have, among other things, functional hats made of thin materials that keep your head warm and do not interfere with the sport itself, but which are made just for it. At Hatshopping, we also carry comfortable bobble hats and reversible hats that stand out thanks to their knitting patterns but which are also highly comfortable to wear. These hats are great sources of warmth, especially during the winter months. Besides hats and caps, we also offer scarves from the manufacturer Columbia. In addition to the classics, such as knitted scarves and fringe scarves, practical infinity scarves that stay in place and don`t move around when you’re playing sports are also becoming increasingly common. Last but not least, Columbia gloves are also an absolute highlight. The winter gloves and ski gloves are extremely functional, and depending on the model, can also be breathable, waterproof, reflective and comfortable.
