Quick measuring guide
1. Stand in front of a mirror and locate the widest part of your head – usually mid-forehead at the front and the bump in the middle at the back.
2. Wrap a measuring tape around your head, passing over these points and roughly 1 cm above the ears.
3. Adjust the tape to the fit you'd like from your cap – snug, but not too tight.
4. Check the measurement in centimetres – that’s your cap size.
Tip: No measuring tape to hand? Use a piece of string instead, then measure it with a ruler or yardstick.

- They feature an elastic inner band and are stretchy

- Snapback and strapback caps are individually adjustable thanks to their closure system
- They usually come in one size
- One size caps cover a wide range of head circumferences

New Era cap sizes – What to know
- The brand New Era is best known for its fitted caps – especially the popular 59Fifty model
- Sizes are based on the US sizing system (e.g. 7 1/4, 7 1/2) and correspond to head circumference in centimetres
- Since New Era sizing can sometimes differ from standard measurements, we’ve created a dedicated size chart for certain models
- For all other New Era caps, our general size chart above applies as usual
Tip: Measure your head circumference as accurately as possible and round up if it falls between sizes – for example, 55.5 cm becomes 56 cm = New Era size 7
