Cockney Cap

Around 1922, the Prince of Wales was often seen in public wearing a puffy, small checkered tweed cap. This headwear earned the mocking nickname "Beatty", which roughly translates to "bully". Later, this cap became very popular among ordinary English people and eventually became known in Europe as the "Cockney cap". The mocking nickname "bully cap" was also adopted.
