Paper Straw

What is paper straw? Paper straw, also known as Toyo straw, is one of many artificial straw types and is highly popular as a material for headwear. In addition to the classic straw hat, caps and fascinators are made from this lightweight material. Paper straw is the only synthetic straw for which wood fibres are used in industrial production. Due to its special processing, the negative properties of straw and paper can be minimised. Thus, paper straw is significantly more tear-resistant and durable, more elastic, and also less susceptible to water damage than other natural products.
