Polyurethane

What is polyurethane? Polyurethane is a versatile plastic or synthetic resin. This material, abbreviated as PUR, is primarily used as foam, for example, in upholstery, sponges, winter clothing, or for coating carpets. Some textile manufacturers, such as Stetson USA, prefer to use this fabric because it is highly stretchable, tear-resistant, and durable in all weather conditions. Another synthetic fibre made from polyurethane is known under the trade name Elastane.
