What is poplin? Poplin is a term for a particularly fine and durable fabric structure. Due to its versatile properties, the fabric is used in various applications. The fabric features a ribbed structure and a slightly shiny surface. Traditionally, it is made from fine silk yarns and thicker wool. Silk is used as the warp thread, and cotton yarn is the weft thread during weaving. However, nowadays, poplin can be made from any textile material.
